Shaping the future of healthcare – Chief Infrastructure Officer
Welcome message from Paul Allen, Chief Executive
At the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, our mission has for more than 170 years: to provide exceptional care for people living with complex neuro-disability, and to do so with dignity, compassion, and unwavering commitment.
Today, as we move the focus of our strategy from a 5 year to 10 year time horizon, and advance the RHN’s national leadership in neuro-disability, we are entering an important new chapter—one that calls for bold thinking, deep integrity, and strategic leadership of the highest calibre.
The Chief Infrastructure Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivery that future. This is a position for a leader who understands that world-class care relies on world-class systems; that culture, governance, organisational development, and digital capability are not back-office functions but the foundations that enable patients, families, and staff to thrive. You will join an executive team united by purpose, ambition, and the belief that excellence is achieved through partnership. Together, we will continue strengthening the RHN as a centre of clinical expertise, innovation, and high quality care.
This is a rare opportunity, created by a directors retirement , to influence the direction of a national charity with a profound social mission. The successful candidate will bring strategic clarity, curiosity, and the confidence to lead through complexity—someone who sees the vital connection between organisational resilience and compassionate care.
If you share our values, are motivated by meaningful impact, and want your leadership to make a tangible difference to people with the most complex health needs, I warmly invite you to consider joining us.
